OLYMPIC diver Tom Daley has launched a Twitter attack on the standard of Cardiff's New Year's Eve entertainment, saying: "Don't ever go."

The Olympic bronze medallist and World Champion criticised the capital, saying: "Definitely not going to go to Cardiff for New Year again. People say it's a good night out. I can assure you it isn't."

Earlier, he wrote: "Cardiff, what a let down for New Year. Don't ever go. Everything shuts at 1am."

The tweets have since been removed.

Cardiff-based athlete Jamie Baulch replied on Twitter: "You went with all the wrong people! Tom, whenever you're in Cardiff speak to the people in the know."

It seems that this lad has gone 'over the top' with sunbed sessions.....he does not look natural. Very strange for someone who is supposed to be fit and healthy for his sport.....someone put him right, quick!

This budgy smuggler can stay across the border for as long as he likes as far as I'm concerned.

Well, you know what all the English folks say... Wind Street is awesome. Even if it does have fat girls carrying plants at 3AM lol Anyway, it is known for a long time that Swansea is a better night out than Cardiff.

Used to think he was a brave (if unsuccessful) athlete. But he's just proven himself to be just an ignorant, spoilt, over-rated brat. Stick to advertising Tango in future Tom and have great nights out in your scintillating (NOT!) home town of Plymouth.

If he did post comment - what a plonker! Did like him in the Olympics - but after this article hope he keeps out of our country. All the best Tom - remember you only got bronze - same colour you get from the sunbeds by the look of your picture!
