The body of a kayaker who went missing in Bala Lake, Snowdonia, has been recovered by police underwater search teams.
The discovery, yesterday afternoon, followed a 24-hour search for the man after his kayak overturned on Saturday afternoon.
He was one of three people on the boat. Another man and a child managed to reach the lake shore safely.
North Wales Police said the man is yet to be formally identified but he is believed to be from Cheshire and his next-of-kin have been informed.
The alarm was raised at 17:30 on Saturday, when a major operation was launched, and the search was joined by an RAF Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey, members of the North East Wales Search and Rescue team, and the North Wales Fire Service's water incident unit.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious, and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
