Blues too good for Bont Cons

BURRY Port Reading Room Blues won 4-3 at Pontarddulais Cons A in the Llanelli Snooker League's first division following wins by Leighton Jones, Peter Kelly, Adrian Gower and Colin Foreman.

Andrew Morgan, Anthony Pritchard, Stuart Rawlings and Ian Davies gave Llanesco B a 5-2 victory over Morfa, who replied via Keith Moore and Wayne Sharples.

Adrian Hopkins (20 break), Richard Evans, James Ellis, Garnet Lane and Keri Phillips earned a 6-1 success for Burry Port Legion Whites against Llandybie Social A.

Adam Griffiths was Pontarddulais Workmen's only winner in a 6-1 drubbing by New Lodge A, and Snooker World won 5-2 at Matchroom B.

Paul Crippin, Paul Garritty and Jack Jones claimed winning points for Penygroes RFC, who defeated Llandybie RFC 4-3.

In division two, Wynford Samuel, Richard Nurse and Duane Evans helped Electric C to a 4-3 win against Cross Hands B, for whom Adrian Phillips, Nigel Harris and Mark Martin won.

Alan Emmanuel, John Ellis, Arthur Mintoe and Jamie Rees won for Carway B in a 5-2 success against Bryn. Andrew Holmes and J. Curtis replied.

Peter Rowlands, Julian Davies and Chris Keenan won as Llanelli Cons A posted a 4-3 aggregate win at Burry Port Reading Room Reds, who hit back via Chris Howells, Gary Hire and Phil Payne.

Mark Rees provided Carway A's only point in a 6-1 loss at Cross Hands A, for whom G. Jones, Roy Foster, A. Pritchard, M. James and D. Mills all won.

Kev John, Stuart Radford, Mike Rees and Viv Roach were winners as Llanelli Cons B saw off Pontyberem Workmen's 4-3. Kieran Evans and Alun Harris won for the visitors.

The Cwmamman derby went to Garnant Club with a 5-2 win at CGMD, while Tycroes RFC A nicked an aggregate 4-3 success over Upper Tumble Blues. Joe Evans, Mark Hughes and Richard Davies won for Blues.

In the third division, Gorseinon Workmen's B whitewashed Loughor 7-0, while Byron Williams, Endaf Jones, Elton Rees and Richard Jones gave Great Mountain Workmen's, Tumble, a 5-2 victory against Pontarddulais Cons B.

Terry Matthews was Calsonic Rivals' only frame-winner in a 6-1 loss to Legion Reds. John Evans, R. Davies, Callum Dann, D. Thomas and K. Leaf all won for the Burry Port side.

Pontarddulais Cons C, for whom Julian Williams, Dave Mayhew and Ben Roberts won, defeated Legion Reds 4-3 in a rearranged fixture.
