FIRE ripped through around two hectares of scrubland close to a Dulais Valley colliery.
The Severn Sisters crew were called to tackle the blaze which tore through grass to Cefn Coed Colliery in Crynant, this morning at 11.31am.
A fire service spokeswoman said: “Approximately two hectares of scrubland close to property was well alight.
“Beaters were in use by the crew.”
They were on scene for more than half an hour.
