Barratt Homes provides plenty of choice for South Wales house-hunters

With the Brecon Beacons National Park on the doorstep and good road links to destinations in Wales and England, it’s another excellent rural location for a family and those who need access to major areas of employment.

Penylan is often considered to be one of the most sought-after residential districts of Cardiff, combining convenient access to the city centre, just a few minutes away, with good local amenities. Scholar’s Gate has a range of four- and five-bedroom detached family houses for sale, priced from £299,995, boasting an enviable interior specification and flexible accommodation for a growing family. “A part exchange deal with Barratt could be a great way of securing one of these executive homes if you are struggling to sell your current home on the open market,” suggests whathouse.co.uk’s Keith Osborne.

Finally, house-hunters looking for something a bit special need to find £579,995 in order to secure a five-bedroom home at Burrium Gate in Usk, Monmouthshire, set on a generous plot with a double garage. These properties combine traditional architectural features with a thoroughly modern interior specification and accommodation that is both spacious and flexible.
