LLANDOVERY'S Matthew Jacobs has become the third Drover to claim the Principality Premiership player-of-the-month award.
The 27-year-old wing claimed the vote for January after some-eye catching displays for the Church Bank side. He follows scrum-half Rhodri Williams and flanker Shaun Miles on the club's roll of honour.
"Things have been going very well this season," said Jacobs, who had a brief taste of regional rugby with the Scarlets five years ago.
"The coaching at Llandovery is of a very high standard and that's bringing out the best in all the players. I feel like my skill levels have improved a lot.
"We are fairly happy with where we are at the moment. Our aim is to get into the play-offs and from there anything can happen."
