Mark Bridger has abandoned his application for permission to appeal his whole life term sentence for the murder of April Jones.
The Judicial Office confirmed it through their official Twitter feed today.
Bridger, aged 47, was convicted of abducting and murdering five-year-old April last May and sentenced to life in prison.
The schoolgirl went missing from outside her home in Machynlleth on October 1, 2012, prompting the biggest missing person search in British policing history.
But her body has never been found.
Bridger dropped his application to seek leave to appeal ahead of the hearing which was due to take place on January 24.
