ABERAVON Lifeguard Club will be holding its first Michael Sheen 1.5 km open sea water swim this Sunday at 9.30am.
Chairman Harry Worth said they hoped to see a good crowd and many competitors taking part. "There will be a junior and senior swim which will be 1,500 metres and 1,000 metres," he said.
"We are doing it on the seafront with the tide in so everyone can enjoy it and see it. We are doing it early in the morning before the wind picks up and it means people can enjoy the rest of the day."
Safety cover will be provided by Aberavon Lifeguard Club and the RNLI. All competitors will receive a T-shirt.
