A 90-YEAR-OLD who waited five hours for an ambulance after breaking her leg was back in her nursing home for Christmas.
Valmai Morris broke her femur after a fall at the home in Gower, as reported in the Post, but faced a long wait due to an ambulance backlog at, what was described as, an extremely busy Morriston Hospital by a spokesman for ABMU at the time.
Her daughter Nia Clague said her mother spent a fortnight in Morriston before being discharged on December 23. She said she was well cared for. Wales Ambulance Service previously said it was investigating the complaint.
